A Rake’s Progress

16 works

For two years, Hockney worked on the sixteen etchings, A Rake's Progress, inspired by the identically named series of prints by William Hogarth (British, 1697–1764). He supplemented the images and storytelling with his memories of his first trip to New York. They were published in an edition of 50 by Editions Alecto.
